NYC based writer, narrative designer, and collaborative storyteller

Cedar Ecker is a creative writer and multimedia artist. She recently graduated with degrees in Creative Writing and Publishing from CUNY City College of New York, with a focus on collaboration between written and visual storytelling.

Originally a fantasy writer specializing in children's entertainment, Cedar's recent work has grown to embrace the Gothic Horror genre. Her Honors Thesis, girlmeat examines the relationship between personhood and the body. Across genres her work aims to evoke themes of human connection, wonder, and what it means to be acceptable to society.

Outside of work she can be found touring New York City's cafe's in search of the perfect mocha and volunteering as a reader and social media manager at the Fiction Magazine.
