Cedar Ecker is a professional writer based on the East Coast. Ecker's work has been featured in the Promethean Literary Journal ("Don't Hang Up Yet," 2022) and the Progenitor Art and Literary Magazine ("Checking Out," 2023). They have been awarded the Richard Shephard Award for Excellence in Writing and the Goodman Fund Short Story Award, as well as featured as an emerging writer by Atmosphere Press.
Specializing in multi-media and interdisceplenary storytelling, Ecker's work leans towards speculative fiction, shifting between the darker gothic horror genre and more whimsical fantasy elements that aim to provoke the wonder, curiosity, and desire for closeness with those around us that often fall away at the advent of adulthood. In their free time they design point-and-click video games and explore abandoned places.
